馬志翔 Umin Boya Umin Boya (also known by his Chinese name MA Chih-Hsiang) is half-aboriginal on his father’s side. He first came to prominence in Wang Shaudi’s
TV series Big Hospital, Little Doctor (2000) and went on to star in the drama series Crystal Boys (2003) and Banquet (2004), picking up Golden Bell Award nominations along the way. He has written and directed three award-winning TV films and has been seen in various Taiwanese feature films such as Sylvia Chang’s 20 30 40 (2004), Yang Ya-Che’s Orz Boyz (2008) and Wei Te-Sheng’s Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale (2011). 秦鼎昌 CHIN Ting-Chang Chin Ting-Chang entered the Taiwan film industry as a camera assistant in 1994, making his own indie films on the side. He was soon working as a cinematographer in his own right. His many credits including Cape No. 7 (2008), Hear Me (2009), Night Market Hero (2011), Warrior of the Rainbow: Seediq
Bale (2011) and the Korean film My Mighty Princess (2008). His work has won him prizes at Thessaloniki, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei film festivals. |

魏德聖 WEI Te-Sheng Before he made the biggest box office success in Taiwan’s history, Cape No. 7 (2008), Wei Te-Sheng had worked as assistant director with Edward Yang and Chen Kuo-Fu. In 1999, he made the critically acclaimed debut feature About July. His second feature, Cape No. 7 is the highest-grossing Taiwanese film and picked up several prizes at the Golden Horse Awards. The huge success of Cape No. 7 helped him realize his dream epic project Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale in 2011, which garnered the Best Picture at the Golden Horse Awards in the same year.
Sound Designer
杜篤之 TU Duu-Chih Before Tu’s arrival on the scene in the 1980s, almost all Chinese-language films were shot without sound and then post-synched. He was responsible for reintroducing live sound recording, not to mention creative sound mixing, in the films of Edward Yang, Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Tsai Ming-Liang and other "New Wave" directors of Taiwan. In recent years he has also worked on the films of Wong Kar Wai and many other leading Chinese directors.

Producer
黃志明 Jimmy HUANG One of the most experienced producers in Taiwan, Jimmy Huang is best known for his collaborations with Tsai Ming-Liang (The River [1997] and The Hole [1998]) and with Chen Kuo-Fu (The Personals [1998] and Double Vision [2002], the latter co-produced with Columbia Pictures). He went on to produce a string of blockbusters, such as Su Chao-Pin’s sci-fi thriller Silk (2006), Jay Chou’s Secret (2007), and Wei Te-Sheng’s Cape No. 7 and Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale, some of which became the biggest hits in Taiwan's film history.

淺野誠 Makoto ASANO A graduate of the Musashino Art University, Asano has been active in film and commercial productions. He has lent his talent to various Chinese-language films in recent years, too. His work can be seen in such Japanese films as The
Vulture (2009), A Ghost of a Chance (2011), as well as Chinese-language films including Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale (2011), The Rooftop (2013) and The Flowers of War (2011). |

佐藤直紀 Naoki SATO Renowned Japanese composer and producer, Naoki Sato has worked on score music for films, TV dramas, anime series and musicals. His notable film
scores include Rurouni Kenshin (2012), Umizaru 4 Brave Hearts (2012), Limit of Love: Umizaru (2006), Umizaru Evolution (2005), Umizaru (2004), Space Battleship Yamato (2010), and Always: Sunset on the Third Street Trilogy (2005, 2007, 2012).
