Masatoshi NAGASE
永瀨正敏 as Coach KONDO Masatoshi NAGASE is a renowned Japanese character actor, active in films, TV dramas, commercials and fashion modeling. He started his acting career in high school and became known internationally when he took part in Jim Jarmusch’s Mystery Train in 1989.
In 1991, he garnered the Japanese Academy’s best newcomer and best supporting actor awards for his performance in Yoji YAMADA’s Musuco, which not only helped him earn his place in the Japanese film industry but also initiated his longtime collaboration with Yamada. His career reached another peak when he won the Japanese Academy’s best actor award with Yamada’s The Hidden Blade in 2004. In 2007, he took home the best supporting actor award at the Yokohama Film Festival with Daihachi YOSHIDA’s Funuke Show Some Love, You Losers! 大澤隆夫 as Yoichi HATTA Born in Tokyo City in 1968, OSAWA started out as a fashion model and turned to acting afterwards. Having long been a popular actor in TV dramas, Osawa takes an active role in the film industry as well.
He won the Japanese Academy’s best actor award with Milk White in 2004. Two years later, he garnered the Japanese Academy’s best supporting actor award for his performance in Riding the Metro (2006). Among his famous film works are Socrates in Love (2004) and Takashi MIIKE’s Straw of Shields (2013), which was selected for official competition at Cannes. |

坂井真紀 as Coach KONDO’s wife Togo Igawa is an actor/director living in England. Starting as a stage actor, he moved to England in 1983 and became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company as its first Japanese actor in the opening season for the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon Avon in 1986. He has appeared extensively on stage, film, television and radio worldwide. His recent notable film works are 47 Ronin (2012), Johnny English Reborn (2011) and The Hedgehog (2009).

伊川東吾 as Coach SATO/ Coach Kondo’s respected teacher Entering into show business in 1992, Maki Sakai has an acting career covering films, TV dramas and stage productions. She is especially known as a prolific TV actress. She was awarded the best supporting actress in the 18th Japan Movie Critics Award with her performance in The Red Army (2007). Among her other notable works are Happy Together - All about My Dog (2011), The Wife of Gegege (2010) and The Fallen Angel (2010).
