台灣藝大舞團將再次來到波特蘭

台灣藝大學生舞團將再次來到波特蘭市舞動2012台美人傳統週，學生們也將借 以美麗語彙肢體語言的藝術表達方式，傳承覆函著時空變換的傳統歷史意義文化背景，盼劃過不同時空文化替代相傳永永遠遠。

每年由大波特蘭台灣同鄉會 (Taiwanese Association of Greater Portland – 簡稱TAGP) 主辦的台美人傳統週是波特蘭僑界最備受期待以及萬眾矚目的年度重點活動之一。此項活動的成立是為配合美國國會所訂立的五月 – 亞美人傳統月, 且向來以宣揚台灣傳統，藝術和文化為宗旨，TAGP己於過去十年來陸續聘請許多來自台灣的藝文團體於本地表演。

今年聘請了由台灣藝術大學(National Taiwan University of Arts) 所組成的知名舞蹈團體“大觀舞集”(Da-Guan Dance Theater)，於四月二十二日來到本地呈獻舞藝給台僑們。大觀舞集成立至今三十五年，多年來在各個不同團長、副團長的帶領下，舞集結合眾多藝術家們的專業素養模式，並以見長的多媒體，戲劇，音樂，美術等等各種元素共同開創出舞蹈藝術的新境界。

大觀舞集擅長於以精緻的演出，開創出舞團獨特的舞蹈表演藝術，帶給觀眾許多意想不到的新視野，他們將會為本地台美人帶來眾多舞碼，也皆蘊涵了濃濃的台灣味，盼大波特蘭的同鄉以及藝術和文化愛好者們能够共同跨越語言，文化，種族的不同，一起欣賞並支持來自台灣大觀舞集舞動美麗身影。

Da-Guan Dance Theater Comes to Portland for Taiwanese American Heritage Week

Da-Guan Dance Theater of the National Taiwan University of Arts joins us once again to celebrate Taiwanese American Heritage Week of 2012.
        With its consistent professionalism and elegant performing style, the Da-Guan Dance Theater of National Taiwan University of Arts has been tirelessly promoting the art of dancing and encourage international cultural exchange. This group will be performing at the 2012 Taiwanese American Heritage Week in Portland Oregon on April 22nd at Portland State University.
        The programs this year will feature traditional ribbon dance, ethnic Hakka tea dance, and the spirited Taiwanese aboriginal dance.  Western ballet techniques are also combined with oriental dance movements showcasing a harmonious blend of the east and the west.  Additionally, Taiwanese style contemporary dance will be the grand finale at the Taiwanese American Heritage Week celebration.  The variety of programs will sure make this a wonderful dance festival.
        Through its miraculous performances, Da-Guan Dance Theater hopes to break through the barriers of language, culture and ethnicity to promote the beauty of traditional folk dance to the world. By blending the essence of western and eastern culture, Da-Guan Dance Theater has created a new trend and taken the traditional Taiwanese dance to the world-class level.
        We welcome anyone who appreciates art, culture and ethnic diversity to come and experience this special occasion.
