台美人傳統週一直是僑界最備受期待的年度重點活動之一。今年巡迴到波特蘭的演出團體為「國立臺灣體育大學」。他們將會帶來震撼人心的表面【看見台灣】。 __________ 節目介紹: 【看見臺灣】演出全長為 80 分鐘,這不只是一次演出,更是一場關於「相遇」 的旅程。我們將舞蹈、音樂、歌唱、戲劇與傳統技藝交織成篇,以舞者的身體 作筆,描繪出臺灣多元族群的文化風貌~從閩南的深情、原住民族的信仰、客 家的堅韌,到新世代年輕創作者的創意與熱情,共同譜出一幅融合傳統與當代 的文化詩篇。演出以「互動」為核心,透過全英文的現場主持與觀眾對話,讓 文化不再只是被觀看的風景,而是可以被觸摸、被感受、被共享的溫度。當燈 光亮起,我們希望觀眾不僅看見舞者,更能在每一個呼吸之間,看見~臺灣, 正在發光! __________ 時間:05/19(二)7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

2026 Taiwanese American Heritage Week - We Are Taiwan
Taiwanese American Heritage Week has always been one of the most anticipated annual highlights for the overseas community. This year, the visiting performance group to Portland is the National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS). They will present the breathtaking performance, We Are Taiwan. __________ About the Show “We Are Taiwan” is an 80-minute immersive performance presented in celebration of Taiwanese American Heritage Week. Created by the National Taiwan University of Sport Dance Company and presented by the Taiwanese Association of Greater Portland, it explores Taiwan’s rich and diverse cultural identity. Blending dance, music, singing, and theater, the performance draws inspiration from the island’s varied cultures, highlighting contemporary expression, ethnic traditions, and the vibrant energy of folk arts. Through dynamic movement and storytelling, the dancers embody the emotional depth, spiritual traditions, and resilience of Taiwanese heritage, alongside the creativity of a new generation. With moments of audience interaction, the production becomes a shared experience—transforming culture from something observed into something felt and lived. As the performance concludes, audiences are left with a vivid impression of Taiwan itself: diverse, expressive, and illuminated through every movement. __________ Date & Time: Tuesday, May 19, 2026

About NTUS Dance Company National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS), located in Taichung City, is one of central Taiwan’s leading institutions dedicated to advancing both the art and education of dance, cultivating countless outstanding performing arts talents over the years. Since its establishment in 1996, the NTUS Dance Company has performed at major domestic and international competitions and celebratory events. It participated in the “Taiwanese American Heritage Week & Asian Heritage Month in Canada” culture exchange tour in 2014, 2018, and 2025;served as both the performers and part of the creative team for the opening ceremony of the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei; represented Taiwan twice at the Yosakoi Soran Festival in Hokkaido; and performed four times at the “River HongBao”, a popular Lunar New Year event in Singapore.
